Captain Players – Portobello Bear Company – OOAK – Year 2004

Description

Captain Players was born in 2004 as a one of a kind teddy bear for the British retailer Peggotty. Hand made by Amy Goodrich / Portobello Bear Company. Captain Players has all his tags and insewn labels still attached. The PBCO paper tag is signed by Amy.

Captain Players may be small in size but he is a true character. A French man as far as I know! He is made of a greyish brown mohair with airbrush details. Black shoe-button eyes and embroidered nose (“Portobello Bear-style”). Under the right foot paw there is a flowery embroidery in blue. He is wearing a white shirt (which is a bit too big, but shh… don’t tell him because his feelings might get hurt then), a black bow and a black beret. He measures approx. 22 cm / 8,6 inches.

Captain Players comes in perfect condition. He has had only one previous owner, a grown up collector.

Every Portobello Bear is a masterpiece. This proud little gentleman is now looking for a new loving home.
