Description
“Time to munch an early luncheon”. Welcome inside the kitchen of Pooh bear! This cooperation between Gabrielle Designs, UK and Royal Doulton, the iconic British tableware firm established in London 1815, was made in a limited edition of 5000 pieces, to my knowledge some time during the 1990s. Winnie-the-Pooh is made of chestnut brown mohair. He has a black nose and black eyes, and he wears a red, knitted waistcoat. He measures 23 cm / 9″. In Pooh’s kitchen you will also find a wooden chair and a table with a tablecloth in red and white. He has a lovely clock made of bone china and a plate, both with motifs from the stories about himself and his friends. Please note that originally included in this set was also a cup, but unfortunately it was broken on delivery, when I received it from the UK many years ago. Certificate is also not included in this set.
Winnie-the-Pooh has never been displayed, he has been living in his box (…sorry, kitchen!) and everything still included in the box is in excellent condition. He is now looking for a new loving home.
This is a collectors item.
“‘Nearly eleven o’clock’, said Pooh happily. ‘You’re just in time for a little smackerel of something’, and he put his head into the cupboard.”
