The Year 2000 Teddy Bear is a stunning teddy. He is made of rich blond mohair, and has a brown hand stitched nose and black details round his eyes which makes him even more irresistible. His hand and foot pads are made of a suede-like material, very soft. He has a red-brown jacquard bow and a growler. White and red tag in ear as well as button in ear trademark. He comes with his original box and certificate, and he measures 43 cm / 17 inches.

On the certificate: “With this Year 2000 Teddy Bear, Steiff has set itself the objective on the one hand of allowing the characteristics of a typical, beautiful and traditional Steiff Teddy to flow into the design while showing on the other that the character of a Steiff Teddy can be given a new face again and again. This magnificent bear is made of finest mohair in the traditional manner and has jointed arms, legs and head and a tilt-me voice. Its nose and claws have been lovingly stitched by hand and its neck is decorated with a red brown jacquard bow. Every bear in this exclusive edition comes with a consecutively numbered ear tag in white in addition to the famous “button in ear”. This unmistakable sign of true exclusiveness has been gold-plated especially for this Teddy bear which as been created to mark the turn of the millennium.”
