Dickens! What a bear… An old chimney sweep with a (very worn) top hat and broom. Dickens is wearing a black shirt and black trousers. The clothes are well worn and has been mended several times, probably by Dickens himself, as a seamstress would perhaps have made it in a slightly different way. He has an old “one dollar note” tuck inside his shirt. Probably a tip from one of his sweepings.

Dickens was made in 2005 by Lisa Rosenbaum for Oz Matilda Bear Co, Australia, in a one of a kind edition, exclusively for “Karla”. He measures approx. 50cm / 20″ and is made of finest dark golden mohair with suede pads in a dark ochre colour. Black glass eyes, sculpted nose, stitched mouth, and airbrush details. Dickens has his Oz Matilda Bear Co metal button in his right ear, and all other tags still attached.

He has been sweeping chimneys all over the world, from Australia to USA to Sweden, where is he heading for next? He tells me he needs only two things in life: A loving home and a chimney to sweep.
