Shrewsbury Evacuee was born in 2006 as a one of a kind teddy bear for the British retailer Peggotty. Hand made by Amy Goodrich / Portobello Bear Company. Shrewsbury Evacuee has all her tags and insewn labels still attached. The PBCO paper tag is signed by Amy.

Shrewsbury Evacuee is a sweet little darling. She is made of a light brown, very short mohair with airbrushed details. The mohair almost has a velvety feeling. Black shoe-button eyes and embroidered nose (“Portobello Bear-style”). She is wearing a pink knitted baby dress, which has some holes in it, due to all she’s been through being an evacuee. She measures approx. 29 cm / 11 inches.

Shrewsbury Evacuee comes in perfect condition. She has had only one previous owner, a grown up collector.

Every Portobello Bear is a masterpiece. This heartbreaking little girl is now looking for a new loving home.
