Georgeous “Candey” by Steiff. 6th Festival of Giengen Bear year 2002. Limited edition of 3,000 pieces. This is number 01979. Candey is the second family member in the “Zotty-like Family Series” by Steiff for the Giengen Festival. Candey was preceded by big brother Sandey in 2001, and followed by Daddey in 2003, and Mommey in 2004. Handmade in Germany. EAN 655609. White tag with red text and button in ear trademark. Paper tag on chest still attached. Certificate. (The Giengen bears come without boxes.)

Candey is made of finest grey-brown long-hair mohair with a wool-white chest patch and light beige felt pads. He has a “Zotty” open mouth. Grey-brown muzzle with brown details and dark brown hand stitched nose, as well as claws. Black shoe button eyes underlaid with light brown felt. Orange coloured bow. Growler. Embroidered in dark brown on left foot pad is “6. Steiff Festival Giengen 2002”.

Measures approx. 30 cm / 11,8 inches. This is a very rare bear!

Candey is part of a private collection. He is now looking for a new loving home.
