This cute Paddington Bear was made by Steiff in 2003. Limited edition of 5,000 pieces worldwide. This is No. 494. White and red tag in ear and button-in-ear trademark. Handmade in Germany. EAN 354250. The Steiff Paddington Bear is inspired by the beloved character Paddington Brown from the British children’s books written by Michael Bond.

Paddington is made of honey-coloured mohair of finest quality with black mohair ears. Black oval shoe-button eyes (´`). Black hand-stitched nose and smiling mouth. Paddington is supposed to be standing and has flat feet with painted pads. Wood-shaving fillings. Fully jointed. He is wearing his blue duffel with hood and in sewn white Steiff tag, and the famous red hat, which can be taken off. In his right paw he holds a marmalade sandwich and he has brought his leather suitcase with the letters P.B as well as the label “Wanted on voyage” with him. Around his neck is a label saying on one side “Please look after this BEAR THANK YOU” and on the other side “From Darkest Peru to London”. Paddington measures approx. 32 cm / 12,6 inches. He comes in perfect condition with original box (the box is in good condition).

Paddington is part of a private teddy bear collection and has been living with other teddy bears and dolls in a non-smoking and pet-free environment. He is now looking for a new loving home!
