This Anniversary Teddy Bear by Steiff was made in 1997 to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Margarete Steiff (1847). The bear was made in a special limited edition, production limitation to orders received before Dec. 31, 1997. This is number 08764. EAN 670190.

The Anniversary bear is made of finest blond mohair. He has a brown hand embroidered nose and claws, brown glass eyes with black pupils, and light beige felt hand and foot pads. The foot pads are flat, making him able to stand. He has a squeaker and is fully jointed. He wears a porcelain medallion attached to a satin ribbon around his neck. The medallion shows a picture of Margarete Steiff with the words Kindheitsträume leben weiter (which would translate as childhood dreams live on) and 150 Jahre Margarete Steiff, 1847–1997. The bear measures 28 cm / 11″ and comes with all tags attached. White/red tag in ear and Button in ear trademark. These Anniversary bears were made in white, blond and dark mohair, and didn’t come with boxes.

This sweet bear has been living in a non-smoking environment with a grown-up collector and is now looking for a new loving home.
