Teddy Rose Amelia. Made by German manufacturer Steiff in a limited edition of only 1,000 pieces in year 1993. Of the limited edition, 650 teddy bears were dressed in a pilot jacket for I. Magnin. The remaining 350 were made as a Collector’s edition and were dressed in only a ruff around the neck and a chest tag saying “Steiff Collector’s Edition 1993”. White/black tag and button in ear (Knopf im Ohr). Paper tag on chest. EAN 999765. This Amelia edition is said to be listed in the Steiff Assortment book 1947-1999, page 461. I understand that the Amelia edition was made in commemoration of Amelia Earhart, the American pilot. This is a very rare teddy bear!

Beautiful Teddy Rose Amelia is made of pink mohair of finest quality. She has a brown stitched nose and claws, a working growler. She is fully jointed, and she measures 35 cm / 14 inches. Teddy Rose Amelia comes in excellent condition. She has been living in a non-smoking environment with a grown-up collector.

The Collector’s Edition was not boxed and did not come with the usual certificate.

Teddy Rose Amelia is now looking for a new loving home!
