Tsunami Charity Bear 2005 – Hermann Teddy Original – December 26th, 2004 – Ltd. ed. #59/250 – Sue Pearson UK Exclusive

Description

The Tsunami Charity Bear 2005 was made by German manufacturer Hermann-Spielwaren GmbH in remembrance of the victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami disaster of December 26th, 2004. He was made exclusively for the renowned British retailer Sue Pearson.

The teddy bear is made of valuable black Alpaca plush in a limited edition of 250 pieces. This is number 59.

The bear measures approximately 35 cm / 14 inches. He has a black stitched nose, black eyes, an sewn textile badge on his chest showing the epicentrum of the disaster. White sewn Original Hermann design tag under right arm, and a green/gold paper tag fastened on the left paw. Hermann metal trademark button on back of the head. On the right foot paw is embroidered “Tsunami Charity Bear No. 059/250” in dark grey, and on the left foot paw “Sue Pearson UK exclusive“.

The Tsunami bear comes in perfect condition.

Donations were made to the Red Cross both by Hermann-Spielwaren and Sue Pearson, and were included in the original price (see photo of certificate).

This is a very gentle bear beaming of warmth and empathy. He has had only one grown-up collector/owner and has been sitting in a ward-robe with other bears and dolls. He is now looking for a new loving home.
